The Legal and Estates Services Department (LESD) is responsible for managing the estates and land assets belonging to PETROTRIN and its predecessor companies, TRINTOC and TRINTOPEC for which there are existing Management Contracts. LESD also oversees the management of PSAEL owned land assets.
The Department is also responsible for the servicing of tenancies and the collection of rent and taxes for the estates they oversee. A major responsibility of the department is the prevention of squatting on the lands of the various companies. They seek to prevent any illegal activities which may be undertaken on these lands, such as the building of structures and construction of roads.
LESD acts as a liaison, providing information to Regional Corporations and the Land Settlement Agency relative to road reserves, recreation grounds and waterways which are located in close proximity to state lands.
